Man Survives Fall From 47 stories, Luck and Physics Credited!

You've probably heard about the New York window washer who survived a 500ft fall when his scaffolding collapsed. Even though he should have been splatted like a bug on a car windshield, doctors say he may even walk again!

While many people are calling it a miracle, at least one genius quoted in the article I read still wants to credit anything but God:

"Evolution didn't give us a body that could survive a drop from that distance but with a combination of luck and physics you can in fact survive one of these falls," said Michio Kaku professor of physics at City University of New York.

I think this quote is an outrageous example of denying the obvious. I reckon giving credit to luck and physics for the man's survival isn't too hard to do when you have enough faith to be an Evolutionist!

The Root of the Problem

In this month's issue of Biblical Worldview Magazine, Gary Demar cites an interesting quote by Nobel Prize winning atheist named George Wald. The following words are shocking, but truly demonstrate how illogical atheism is:

"There are only two possible explanations as to how life arose. Spontaneous generation arising to evolution or a supernatural creative act of God... There is no other possibility. Spontaneous generation was scientifically disproved 120 years ago by Louis Pasteur and others, but that just leaves us with only one other possibility... that life came as a supernatural act of creation by God, but I can't accept that philosophy because I do not want to believe in God. Therefore I choose to believe in that which is scientifically impossible, spontaneous generation leading to evolution"

Isn't that an amazing statement? At the very least one might think Wald would have wits enough to be a Deist, but obviously he did not. I believe it was Arthur Conan Doyle's character Sherlock Holmes who said "once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." This educated man willingly embraced what he readily acknowledged as an impossibility simply because he didn't want to believe in God!!! This man's logic was not even as sharp as a fictional private detective! How foolish indeed!

I agree with Ray Comfort when he says that all a person needs to have in order to know God exists is "eyes that can see and a brain that works." The evidence for the existence of God is literally everywhere! Creation is proof there is a Creator! Nobody looks at a mansion on a hill and blindly believes that the house built itself out of nothing and for no reason! All such a notions should be an insult to our intelligence! Even young children will not believe such nonsense!

Wald's words demonstrate the root problem with atheists. These are not the words of an objective person seeking to understand the origins of life. Wald is not interested in the truth. This demonstrates how atheists will say anything and come up with all sorts of cockamamie "theories" to deny the existence of God.
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." --Psalm 14:1(a)

(Update: In the comment section, someone has stated that the quote attributed to Wald was quote-mined and is therefore not true.)

The Natural Origin of Rape?

In the song Simple Man, country music legend Charlie Daniels starts off the chorus with these words:

"Well you know what's wrong with the world today, People done gone and put their Bibles away. There livin' by law of the jungle not the law of the land..."

I think Mr. Daniels got it right. That is exactly what has happened: The majority of people in our nation ignore the Bible and now a few are starting to look to nature to try and explain certain forms of moral depravity and sinful behaviour in human beings.

It was bound to happen though, seeing as this generation has swallowed the idea that we are all the result of an uncaused cosmic accident that resulted in multiplied trillions and trillions of other accidents. Many people have adopted the "from goo to you by way of the zoo" explanation for the origin of human life. The fact that the God of Scripture is the Creator of this Universe (and its Chief Lawgiver) is flatly denied by many of the intellectuals of our time.

Because ideas these have consequences, I guess it should be no surprise when scientists -many of whom hold to a godless worldview- come up with some most ungodly hypothesises. Just to illustrate my point, I submit to you that anthropologist Craig T. Palmer and biologist Randy Thornhill, in their book A Natural History of Rape, have determined that RAPE is a "genetically developed strategy sustained over generations of human life because it is a kind of sexual selection -a successful reproduction strategy."

That's right! They think rape is a natural act! They think it was a strategy that evolved in humans in order to secure the reproduction of the human species! From what I gather, part of the basis for their findings is the fact that animals can be observed raping other animals in nature! Therefore they believe that rape probably played a part in our supposed evolution.

From what I have read in Biblical Worldview Magazine, Thornhill and Palmer do contend that rape is morally wrong, but I do not see how they can seriously defend that postition. I agree with Gary DeMar when he writes " ... given Darwinian assumptions, there is no way to condemn rape on moral grounds. The same can be said of homosexual behavior and everything else. If we are truly the products of evolution there can be no moral judgments about anything."

Now that these clowns have determined rape is basically a natural human act, I wonder how long it will be before some rapist is using this as his defense in court? Moreover, since when does the behaviour patterns of animals determine what is natural for human beings? Because some animals cannibalize their young, should we also deduce that such behaviour is natural in humans as well? Perhaps as some sort of survival strategy? I think not...

You see my friends, this is the kind of junk people come up with when they put their Bibles away and -as Charlie Daniels sings- start "livin' by the law of the jungle and not the law of the land." The truth is, God designed the institution of marriage for reproduction of mankind! Rape has no part in the reproduction of humans. It should be obvious that rape is a horrible sin against women and a terrible violation of God's Holy Law. Any scientific hypothesis that says otherwise should be rejected with extreme prejudice.
