Al Mohler Responds
The media has done it again!
They take a person's words out of context and ignite a firestorm!
Apparently this is what has happened to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary president Dr. Albert Mohler. Mohler was a featured speaker at the conference I attended this past weekend, so when I got home, I was surprised to see that there was a bunch of controversy surrounding him.
I knew from the time I saw the news segment that Mohler had taken out of context and that the media up to it's dirty tricks again. Last night I even spoke with a Christian who was referring to Mohler as a "nutcase" because of the sound bite CNN had used! I assured my friend that Mohler was quite orthodox and the media was to be blamed for the perception it created about him.
Dr. Mohler has addressed the fall-out on his blog.

It should also be said that there are some Christians who think that if a genetic factor could be discovered creating a tendency to homosexuality it would somehow make it less sinful.
Since we all have an inbuilt tendency to sin, this does not actually follow in the least. It would just reinforce the point that the WHOLE MAN is fallen, and therefore the WHOLE MAN is in need of Salvation. Which is why Our Lord became a REAL MAN, body and soul.
